Questions
Frequently asked questions.
Is the consult really free?
Yes. It's a short call to understand your goals, answer your questions and help you choose a program. There's no cost and no obligation.
What kind of medicine does Klotho Wellness practice?
Complex systems medicine. We look at your health as a set of interacting systems, from the cellular level to your environment and lifestyle. The goal is to understand you as an individual, then optimize your health together.
What is the Systems Health Analysis?
A written clinical model of your biology. It assesses nine systems, maps how they affect each other, ranks your highest-leverage changes and sets a twelve-month trajectory. It's assembled with AI from two decades of systems medicine practice, and a physician reviews every analysis before you see it.
Is everything done remotely?
Yes. Klotho is a telehealth practice. Visits happen over secure video. The only in-person step is a blood draw at a patient service center near you.
Can I start with Foundation and move to Precision later?
Yes, and many people do. Upgrade within 60 days of your Systems Health Review and your full Foundation fee is credited toward Precision, so you pay only the difference. Your Precision year starts from your first lab draw, which puts your follow-up panel about six months after baseline.
Do you prescribe? What about hormone therapy and peptides?
Prescription management is part of Precision and Signature. We may prescribe bio-identical hormone therapy as part of a broader strategy, based on a full evaluation, not as a stand-alone program. Our founders have worked with peptide therapies at Apeiron Center since 2017.
Will Klotho replace my primary care doctor?
No. We focus on optimization and prevention. Your primary care physician still handles chronic conditions, emergencies and sick care. Keep that relationship. We may share findings with your physician if our assessment uncovers something they should know.
Will I work with the same clinician throughout?
Yes. You have one clinician for your whole program, so the person reviewing your follow-up labs is the person who heard your history.
Can I bring my own labs, genetics or wearable data?
Please do. We can often fold in recent lab work, though our panel is still required for the analysis. Prior genetic reports are welcome too. For new genetics we use whole genome sequencing, which is far more precise than the SNP chips most consumer DNA companies use. We can include Oura, WHOOP, Apple Watch, Garmin or CGM data when we can access the dashboard.
Should I add whole genome sequencing?
We recommend it to nearly everyone, once. Your blood work shows your current state. Your genome shows your predispositions and how you're built to respond to specific interventions. It's included in Signature and available as an add-on with Foundation and Precision.
Do you offer testing beyond what is included?
Yes. Our add-on menu covers genomics and epigenetics, hormones and metabolism, microbiome, toxicology and advanced blood analysis. Precision and Signature members receive 20% off add-on testing, and 20% off in-center services at Apeiron Center in Austin.
Do you accept insurance?
No. Klotho doesn't participate in private or government insurance plans. That's what makes unhurried clinical time possible. We provide itemized receipts if you want to seek reimbursement or use HSA or FSA funds. Check eligibility with your plan administrator.
What is your refund policy?
Refunds are considered case by case. Most program costs cover up-front testing and evaluation, which are non-refundable once labs are ordered. We understand circumstances change and handle refunds accordingly.
Do you offer programs for companies?
Yes. Klotho for Teams offers Precision for five or more people at a per-seat annual rate, invoiced to the company. Ask us about executive team programs.
